Missing Lync 2010 client Audio selection icon for PC to PC users fixed in Lync 2013 client

04/02/2013 3 Comments

This is a known issue in the Lync 2010 client, when the user is PC to PC, they loose the bottom left icon to switch audio device (they can still change it via the options menu).

Mattias Kressmark has previously written about it here, and it appears it’s not on the priority list for Microsoft to fix

However it does work properly with the Lync 2013 client

  1. William S says:

on XenApp 6.5/Server 2008R2, and when using Citrix HDX realtime connector, we find the that the phone icon is missing.
When that same user logs into a like citrix XenApp 6.5 box WITHOUT the HDX Connector, the phone icon is there.

On server 1, with the phone icon missing, you can double click a user in your list, and you have the option to dial them, but no option to just click the phone and dial a random number.

    Any Ideas?
